So after a lot of hard work, I found myself having qualifications and a growing clientele. I am so thankful for all the people that were so supportive and understanding whilst I was getting through my case studies. They put their life in my hands, trusting me not to pick their eyes out with my shaky hands and very sharp tweezers. Repeat custom and loyalty gave me the motivation and confidence to carry on and for the first time in my life I started to believe in myself and felt so proud of what I had achieved.
The biggest barrier for me was not being able to drive! I was losing time going from one client to another, so I decided it was time to set up from home. As you can see from the picture... It wasn't going to be easy!
It was a slow process at first, but all of a sudden it started coming together and I started to get a vision of somewhere I could actually welcome clients for beauty treatments.
Obviously I had nothing to do with the handy work, I wish I could take credit for that. But see that paint all along the beam? Yes that was me!
My favourite part of the salon has to be my little alcove & to think it was going to be boarded over!! But it created a bit of extra room and I wanted to create a spa effect with pebbles and of course buddhas.
So here it is, the end result. My second home as I would now like to call it. I give all the credit to my family, my boyfriend and his family! They all spent their time in helping me make this possible and I couldn't of done it without them.
